The neurotoxin BOTOX® is injected into the nerve endings and blocks the release of chemicals involved in pain signaling, which in turn helps to suppress pain-related brain activity. The use of BOTOX® is not recommended for patients with fewer than 15 headache days per month.

A migraine headache is a severe headache characterized by a pulsing sensation or throbbing pain on the affected side. These migraines can last for hours or even days and can be debilitating. A migraine headache is often accompanied by nausea, vomiting, and sensitivity to loud sounds and bright lights.
What are Chronic Migraines?
Chronic migraines are defined as having at least fifteen headache days per month and at least eight headache days with migraine-like symptoms for more than three months. Living a normal life can be difficult due to these frequent debilitating and severe migraine attacks.
